Skills Development Project (SDP Project)

The Skills Development Project (SDP), financed by the Asian Development Bank and the Government of Nepal , support the government to implement key aspects of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TEVT) policy 2012.The project is  executed by the Ministry of Education and implemented by the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) through a project Implementation Unit.

This project is for training and employment placement of 2340 trainees within selected districts of the Mid Western Development Region over 24 months.

The general objective of this project is to select unemployed and under employed trainees, provide 3 months of short term trade training in accordance with National Skills Testing Board (NSTB) Level -1 and 2 using CTEVT approved curricula, and place them in gainful wage or self employment in demanded occupation as mainly in the construction, manufacturing and service sectors.
